Armand Peeters is a senior researcher at Medical Diagnostech and is responsible for developing nucleic acid tests. Although originally from Belgium, he received his MSc and PhD degrees in Human Genetics from Stellenbosch University and has been a lecturer in genetics (SU) for six years. Armand has held postdoctoral positions focused on Alzheimer’s disease and on the genetics of obesity in Belgium. From July 2014 to March 2021, he was involved in breast cancer genomics research at the Pathology Research Facility (SU, Tygerberg), doing Research & Development in the application of Point of Care DNA testing in cancer.
