Takunda, a Zimbabwean national, graduated with a BTech (cum laude) and MSc degree in Chemistry (summa cum laude) from Cape Peninsula University of Technology. His passion to improve the standards of living in the society drove him to focus on the development of point of care diagnostic tools. He is currently employed as a Senior Research Scientist in charge of developing electrochemical biosensors.
